My Magic Bag of Tricks

Konnichiwa!

Welcome back!  This post was inspired by how many times I have used this little magic bag of tricks over the past week...no less than 5 I tell you!  I thought that everyone (well, every woman who carries a purse) had one of these little bags, but I am beginning to realize that I was a bit mistaken.

So, what is my magic bag of tricks???  It is just a mini zippered pouch that I fill with all kinds of useful things to help when a need arises; this is not necessarily an emergency kit, but I do have a couple of first aid type items in there. The mini zipper pouch is from Thirty-One Gifts; I have probably had it for almost 10 years, but it still works perfectly.

Pretty unassuming little bag, right?  Just check out the list of what is packed in there!

  • Compact mirror
  • Tissues
  • Cotton swabs
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Small container of hand lotion
  • Ibuprofen
  • Other misc medication (just in case; including Somnapure to ensure I sleep well every night)
  • Ear plugs
  • Lens cleaning wipes
  • Tea bags
  • Bandaids
  • Nail clippers
  • Panty liner
  • Peppermint oil beadlets from Doterra (these are great to freshen breath or settle your stomach)
  • Basic H from Shaklee (this stuff is amazing and can be used for a million things; I use it mostly for burns or bug bites)

Two new items I just added since I have found myself needing them over the last couple of weeks:
  • Flossers
  • Small tin of bobby pins, hair clips and hair ties

The best thing about this little pouch is how easily it transfers from one bag to another so it not only works for everyday, but it is also perfect for travel since it contains all of my essentials I never have to wonder if I remembered to pack any of them.  I cannot tell you how many times these items have come in handy while on a plane and with this little pouch I am always prepared.

1st Note:  When traveling during cold and flu season I also add some Airborne and Zicam type products so I can pop those as soon as I feel any kind of sniffle or symptom try to start.

2nd Note:  I also carry an essential oil keychain pack with me at all times (also from Doterra); this is really my first aid kit since it can be used for so many situations.

3rd Note:  I recently purchased a travel microfiber towel on Amazon for those annoying times when there are no more towels in a public bathroom or the hand dryer is 50 years old and would take about that long to actually dry your hands or you just need a towel.  Again, this will not fit in my zipper pouch, but it also goes in every single bag I carry to ensure I am never caught wet handed!

My collection of items has evolved over the years as I have weeded out things I thought I would use but never did, and have added things that I constantly find myself wishing I had.  In fact, I just thought of another item I will be adding soon, a small container of Celtic Sea Salt, with the high mineral content this salt can help keep you hydrated when consumed with water.

Do you have a magic bag of tricks that always goes with you?  If so, what are your must have items?

Wishing you an amazing day wherever you are going today!
